Abstract
This interview, of playwright Saviana Stănescu,
concentrates on Stănescu’s award-winning, internationally
produced play Waxing West.
Stănescu also touches upon her continuation of the tradition of Theatre
of the Absurd, the political nature of theatre, her affinities with
other diasporic writers, and the “new wave” of Romanian
dramatic writers to which she belongs.
